Forgot the KNITTING!!!

Can't believe i forgot to update on the knitting fron.
Still working on the blanket for LIL d. slow going and still adding different blocks to it.
A hat scarf and mitten combo in light pink/black for K and C's baby 4months old now.I probably will knit up a blanket too with some of my leftovers.
Still working on the corset-t slow going and very boring, i usually do this in front of the tv.
And whatever dishcloth is going on however due to lack of black yarn I did not do the october one and it was really cute a candy corn/illusion style.

Waiting

Just hanging out waiting for the Bank to send the paperwork for us to sign. The contracter is coming this week to pour the foundation and put the septic tank. We are going crazy hurry up and wait. We allready have plotted out the spot where we are putting the house. Its actually been in my mind for this whole last year. But now its actually marked with posts and measured out. Wont be long now. Been saving money and now have to pay for the electric and an electrician to come out too. AGH this is so freaken expensive.
On a lighter note Lil d is doing great in school. He is a whole new boy. His teacher says hes one of the best in the class and most of all of his papers come back with great marks. We have been helping him alot with practicing for the spelling tests and he is getting 100's on those. He is making alot of nice little friends, and talks about them frequently. This week we are going on a field trip, I'm not sure where but I think it might be a pumkin patch/ranch. His teacher called and asked if either of us could chaparone. And I called back and left a message that we could both. We'll see what happens. He is still doing Karate due to the weather we had to cut back to once per week which is kinda hard cause he forgets some of the moves, but with the rain and now coming snow. It was just too much to wait around after school for the class to start. Trying to get him to practice at home has kinda been hard. He just wants to play.
Well the uncles are still hanging tough. UB is as onery as ever and really giving us a hard time. He is so used to UJ being around and doing everything for him. And then worrying about UJ in the hospital has been wearing on him too. UJ is not doing so hot. Lots of prayers are needed. They had to put a chest tube this week and are still waiting for all the tests to be done and results to come back. He is getting so bored, poor guy. We try to take UB to see him daily but then he gets worn out and just now got over a cold so then had to back off and just call sometimes. I think they are going crazy apart from each other.
Well work is going okay, still at the hospital. Just a few nights a week and waiting for an orientation for the other hospital. I was gonna do a few days at home health but starting that right now was just too much for me, with school and the uncles doing there thing. So I put that on hold for now. We'll see maybe in a couple of weeks. Well I had better go I know its been a while since my last post gotta get. :o)

BUSY WEEK

Wow its been crazy around here. One of my DGU is very ill and in hosp. And the other is at home with a cold and very onery. Oh well life goes on. Not much knitting going on. I'm working on the dish cloth KAL and finished a cute little kitty. of course MOM stole it. Don't have a pic yet I'll try. And now to fight the boredom at work am working on the textured ball band cloth. Still making the small blocks for Lil D but its slow going. And the corset-t is coming along slowly. K2P2 is not entertaining enough for me gotta keep mixing it up. Oh well its short sleeve any way so I probably wont wear it till spring anyway. Found alot of cute patterns but no serious plans as of yet.
Our house is gonna go thru just waiting on the permits. We went on friday and then there was a power outage that lasted from friday @3pm till Sat 6pm how tedious. No water or any thing we had to dip into the cow trough for the toilets( good weve got that thing). This only reinforces dads reasoning for getting a big gravity tank. So I guess thats the next thing on the list

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Well what a great day so far. I ended up having to work and right before I left to go home I got a call from my almost 3yrold nephew singing"happy birthday". What a joy. Then my son and his snuggly kisses. So far a great day. And the grand prize is we are gonna get the house... finally. It looks like everthing is coming together. We might even be able to invite some far away relatives " home for the holidays" I can't wait. Well thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts.

New House

Well it looks like we are gonna get our home, FINALLY. We are going to the county tomorrow to get a leteer of approval to have the house on the parents property and then all we need to do is sign the paperwork. AGH what and ordeal. But it will be worth it. We will finally be on our own. Dad is helping me get our finances together and it really looks good on paper!!! Its a miracle. We can't wait to have lil d in his very own room.WOHOO!!
On the knitting front still working on a blanket for lil d for his new room. just squares of all different stuff knitted together. Still working on the corset-t it slow going very tedious. And good intentions and all I've slacked off on the roses for the womens league, OOPS. But I've picked out a fuzzy yarn for the cancer survivors get away and hope to get started on it very soon. Been plugging away on the dishcloths too. I think I'm gonna make a giant one as a bib for one of the uncles. So far we haven't killed each other although its come close. They are very set in their ways. AGH!
I think I need to work on some relaxation therapy thats my third outburst just in this post. Oh well gotta get

Hey I found the cutest pattern for a rose with small leaves and am going to knit up a bunch (like thirty). In purple no less. I went to the Las Vegas Womens Club this last week. And next months theme is to colect for womens shelters. For women and children surviving abuse. The theme color is purple. So I thought " Why not make these for the ladies in the group. They are so nice and very supportive of the community. I brought some boxes from Habitat for Humanity and several took them home to start collecting for them. Wow What a neat group. Tehy just bought dictionaries for the elementary schools. They offer scholarships to the local colleges. I am the youngest member for sure, there is even this one gal 90 yrs old. Shes amazing. I guess you can tell I'm pretty excited about this.
So on the knitting front still working on the corset -t about 1/3 done slow going it gets knid of tedious. This part of the pattern is just ribbing. K2P2. Also still working on small dishcloth size cloths with the letteres of LILD's name on it and looking for cute pics to fill in the extra blocks. I'm doing it in dark and medium blue acrylic for the boy. Its gonna need to be washed frequently. And of course there is the Dishcloth-KAL, currently on row 17 waiting for thext set of rows. This one I'm doing in "daisy ombre" its a pretty lacy thing. Probably will never see a dish. But oh well. I think the next ones I do will be in colors for our new kitchen. Yes we are waiting for the final approval on our new house. We can't wait. Just waiting for the road to dry out enough so we can get the trailer down it to trade in at the dealer. What stress. Wait Wait Wait. agh I'm going nuts. Took my mom and her friend to see it they both thought it was perfect for us. Its a small 3 bed,2 bath. We are gonna build a dining nook for the kitchen and eventually build on to it. Lild has allready decided how to do his room.
I am probably gonna get a second job here for the winter. The job I'm at now I am only getting 24 hrs. So I've gotta get some more. I spoke with one of the gals from the Womens group and she gave me her daughters phone number. I'm gonna see the owner of a home health co here in town in the after noon, after I sleep a little. The usually only work MON- FRI 8-5. Who knows this might be a new adventure for me. Of course I couldn't do the whole day but if I could pick up a few patients here and there throughout the week while Lild is in school. And Big D at work. It just might work. So I guess I had better sign out :)

Well its been an interesting week. I missed work on Monday due to a bad rain storm, 4 1/2 inches in an hour and a half !!!! What a crazy storm the the parents got here with the uncles. AGH!! CRAZY.

Well I finshed the September KAL It turned out so pretty. I also just whipped up the Swish with a twist Although I did it with a pretty ombre of pinks/reds/blues (FROM MY COLOR swap secret pal and it didn't turn out like I had pictured it. I think the ombre is too busy that its hard to focus on the shapes of the cables. Oh well its cute any way.

My parents are on their way with the two uncles ! They will be here tomorrow afternoon. I called my mom and they were having a "super" time in a motel with them(I hope they don't kill each other) Oh well thing should settle down once they all get home (yeah right) But we will survie and its the best thing for them. My Grandpa would be so proud. Of them for acctually coming and us for bringing them. We are probably gonna need alot of prayers. Big D has been working his but off cleaning and making space in the barn and getting there bed linens ready. What a trooper the house is spotless. (for now)

Well working on the September dishcloth KAL . Its a cute leaf. I might dye some other yarn to make the colors I need to make some more in fall colors. It should be interesting. We are doing well Wiating for Bill and John to come and live with us( my grandpas brothers) They are both in their 70's. Two hermet bachelors. It should be very interesting... We'll see how it goes sharing a bathroom with them. I though it was bad taking care of the one my two guys are in now add two more. oh golly. Well gotta get. Pics to post soon of current WIPS. :)

Well I have deleted all the personal pics from my blog. So now its just gonna be knitting/sewing. All kniting/sewing all the time. Just an update still working on corset-t knit two purl two. All ribbing for the whole body. I'll probably try to put some kind of lace border to the bottom edge. Also still working on the aug mid month dishcloth. Still have in the bag a pattern and yarn for a small knitted purse.

The house were are trying to buy. Three bedroom, two bath very cute. We will know very soon.Wohoo

Lild had a great time and a great first week of school. He did great.

Well I've been working on a corset-t from knitty gritty. Its knitting up very nicely. I'm on a serious budget and am doing it in an acrylic from my stash. So we'll see how it goes. The neckline is in dusty rose and the body in a lighter rose color. Very girlie, and its actually for me. The pattern is so very easy. I might even make one for my sisters hmmm... if they have been good. LilD has finished his first week of school and survived. The teacher loves him, "he' so good and smart"Wait till the honey moon is over.I can see a difference in him. He seems much more mature, and helpful in the classroom. Hopefull it'll stick. Hes a good kid. He called home with the teachers help to say his stomach hurt, an old excuse from last year whenever they are getting into writing. Teacher was thinking maybe he is worried about the letters and doesn't want to make mistakes. So practice, practice, practice.
My Mom and Dad are so funny. We have some cows visiting and the owner brought over a small ATV to let Dad keep an eye on them. So here my parents are driving around on the ATV and mending fences with a little wagon on the back and their dog Patch in between them. Not the picture you would expect. I laughed histerically when Mom told me what they had been up to . Too bad I was asleep a picture would have been great. I might just have to " wreak" a part of the fence just to catch them at it again. For prosperity. HAHAHA.

Well I made it to Santa Fe. We bought some new uniform clothes for LILD for school. Tomorrow is his first day of First grade. He is so excited he can't wait. We went friday and met the teacher again ( who is grandma to his good friend from kindergarten) He wouldn't stop talking. He showed DAD around the classroom and the lunch room/gym, which they get to play in during the winter months. Also the cool playground.

I got to go to HOBBY LOBBY yipee!!! I found the rest of what I needed for MY secrect pal and am going to wrap it up tomorrow. I all ready had a few small things from Wally world, but I had to get the " gift" Its so cool. Then we went to JOanns and I got for myself a new pair of needles. I got these bamboo ones size 7 for the dishcloth knitalong. I have allready made a few dc's and am really enjoying the cool cable patterns. I can't wait to apply them to a blanket or sweater. Thats the main reason for joining. Plus and excuse to buy cotton yarn. By the way ,I am loving the way these new needles feel. The yarn just glides along. I am just going to have to get started on some new project. I also finished a couple of baby hats. I almost gave one to Kathy-mom(a friend at work) but then remembered I want a picture first. Its purple with matching booties.( MOMsfavorite color). And then another one mint green. but it needs a small bit of lace to make a hat band.

While in Santa Fe we even made it to the OLIVE GARDEN. Wow what a treat. You don't realize what you had till its gone. The restaurants in our small town anre all small and MOM &POP which are good, but there are definetelly no Itailianos living here. I miss the selection of foods. WAHWAHWAH. All right enough of my whining. Have a great day and be good the next project might be for you.....

CAMPING PHOTOS

Well the day started great. It was beautiful, Big D had a couple of nibbles and caught two small mouth striped bass. Then the clouds started up and we decided to go back to our tent....

We stopped at the side of the dam for a couple of pics.

Then the rain started so our tent get soaked . It didn't have much of a chance esp since we lost the top and have a couple of tarps tied on it.

The storm then calmed down a bit and this is what it looked like. I acctually had to park the Jeep on top of the tent to keep it from blowing away. We had to cut out the bootom to let the water out of it. The poles were bent and we had to throw it away. While the storm raged on we had to take it apart. Lil D and the dogs stayed in the camp ground lean to.

Well my son was playing in his room and said " thers a wasp in my room" my husband went to investigate and there was a SCORPION on the celing. How weird is that I was reading a blog re that and blogged back about how we have them too. No I have not checked my knitting bag by the door. Now I'm afraid. Oh well gotta get back to work hehehe. The sweater for Lil D is coming along nicely. I finished the back allready and casted on the front. I too took a pic of this but the camera is at home and I didn't bother to try due to the probs w/blogger. Really I gotta go.

Well I finished THE CLAPOTIS Pronounced: clap-oh-tee. It turned out gorgeous. I'm so excited I can't wait to get some really nice ombre/mix yarn and do another. Of course still having probs posting pictures. AGH ! Next project is a cute sweater for LilD in Lion Brand Homespun colors Colonial- dark blue and black (forgot the fancy name. He picked out the colors they are his favorite. I had to since all the last projects were for the neices.
We are all doing well and enjoying the RAINY DROUGHT.. Go figure. some of the local roads by our house are washed out. I finally got to mail off my neice MONSTERs poncho. Can't wait for the reaction. Well is almost scholl time oh dear. Lil d is so very excited, He can't wait to get started back up. I'm afraid this summer has been a little boring. Esp with me working nights and sleeping days. He's hanging in there though. New news on the home front. My two great uncles are going to come and live with us. It should be interesting. At least a couple of months. Due to having to order and wait for set up of there new mobile home. They possibly have a buyer for there home in Yucca Valley CAL. But otherwise its been same old, same old. So I'll sign off :)

Finished Monsters poncho and have it ready to send off. Didi got hers in the mail and was so excited to get it. She saved the package and opened it in front of her friends at ther party. She couldn't believe that it was made just for her. She doesn't remember all the blankets and the sweater I made for her. Oh well. I'll be sending off the package to texas on monday. The box almost weighs thirty pounds. Hand me downs for cousin Pres. and gonna pack the stuff for Monster in the middle. She will be surprised for sure. Now just have to wait forBeans b-day to send hers off. I'm sure shes anxious to see what Auntie made for her since big sis got something allready. Maybee I should send a gag gift ahead HMM. Well LilD is getting more and more anxoius for school to start. Hes going crazy at home. We tried to go camping and had a terible storm that wiped out or tent. Poor little gut. He didn't even get very long to fish. We will probably go on my next day off. Big D caught two fish. And I sat and knitted allmost the whole time. I am allmost finished with a pretty shawl/scarf called " clapotis " I have done it in black and it is turning out very pretty. Well i had better get back to work breaks over.
